RE100 Electric Power Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Katsuhiro Konishi; hereinafter “RE100 Electric Power”) announces the conclusion of a business alliance agreement with Akiyama Kosan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Marugame City, Kagawa Prefecture; Representative Director: Norio Akiyama; hereinafter “Akiyama Kosan”) in the field of grid-scale battery storage.

The two grid-scale battery storage facilities planned by Akiyama Kosan are targeting grid connection by April 2026. RE100 Electric Power will be responsible for power aggregation, while group company Japan Energy Total System Co., Ltd. will undertake the construction and maintenance management of the storage facilities. The battery storage facilities to be newly established through this alliance will contribute to the stabilization of domestic energy supply and the promotion and expansion of renewable energy.

Akiyama Kosan, based in Kagawa Prefecture, operates a real estate business and has been advancing renewable energy-related initiatives with a strong commitment to contributing to regional development through its corporate activities. Going forward, the company aims to further expand the adoption of renewable energy and will pursue grid-scale battery storage projects nationwide.

RE100 Electric Power will continue to contribute to the expansion of renewable energy adoption and the realization of a sustainable society through the operation of this battery storage equipment.
