RE100 Electric Power Launches “Integrated O&M × Aggregation Service” for Grid-Scale Battery Storage
Providing one-stop operations, market trading, and maintenance management for battery storage facilities under a 24/7/365 monitoring system, maximizing operator revenue and minimizing risk
RE100 Electric Power Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Katsuhiro Konishi; hereinafter “RE100 Electric Power”) has launched a new service that provides integrated O&M (Operations & Maintenance) and aggregation for grid-scale battery storage operators. Under a 24/7/365 monitoring system, this service delivers one-stop support covering facility operations, market trading, and maintenance management — enabling operators to maximize revenue and reduce risk.
Background
In recent years, the growing adoption of renewable energy has increased the importance of grid-scale battery storage. However, battery storage revenue is closely tied to market trading, and conducting maintenance without accurately understanding operational status carries significant risk.
RE100 Electric Power believes that separating O&M from aggregation makes it difficult to ensure operational accountability, and has concluded that an integrated framework covering operations, market trading, and maintenance is essential.
Service Features
1. Integrated O&M and Aggregation
As the aggregation provider, RE100 Electric Power itself oversees 24/7/365 remote monitoring, emergency response, periodic inspections, and maintenance. This enables real-time visibility into battery storage operations, establishing an optimal operational framework that integrates operations, market trading, and maintenance.
2. Industry-Leading Low Fee Structure
The aggregation service commission is set at 5% of market profits, with contract terms available in 1-year or 5-year options. For operators selecting the 5-year contract, no initial fees are required. This minimizes operator costs while supporting long-term revenue maximization.
3. Revenue Support Until Supply-Demand Adjustment Market Entry
Trading in the supply-demand adjustment market requires pre-screening, during which operations are primarily conducted through JEPX. During this period, RE100 Electric Power offers a power purchase service*1 at ¥100,000 per day per battery storage facility to maximize revenue opportunities. This is made possible by RE100 Electric Power’s position as a retail electricity provider serving multiple consumers.
