RE100 Electric Power Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Katsuhiro Konishi; hereinafter “RE100 Electric Power”) announces the conclusion of an aggregation agency contract with Akiyama Kosan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Marugame City, Kagawa Prefecture; Representative Director: Norio Akiyama; hereinafter “Akiyama Kosan”) for a grid-scale battery storage facility currently under development in Ureshino City, Saga Prefecture.

Under this contract, RE100 Electric Power will be responsible for aggregation operations including electricity market trading and supply-demand management for the battery storage facility, contributing to the effective utilization of renewable energy and the stabilization of the power grid.

Akiyama Kosan, based in Kagawa Prefecture, operates a real estate business and has been advancing renewable energy-related initiatives with a strong commitment to contributing to regional development through its corporate activities. Going forward, the company aims to further expand the adoption of renewable energy and will pursue grid-scale battery storage projects nationwide.

Under these circumstances, RE100 Electric Power will leverage its accumulated expertise in battery storage operations and aggregation to support the stable operation and improved profitability of this facility. Through collaboration with Akiyama Kosan, the company will also contribute to the expansion of renewable energy in the region and the realization of a sustainable energy society.
