RE100 Electric Power Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Katsuhiro Konishi; hereinafter “RE100 Electric Power”) announces that RE-RE Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Suita City, Osaka; Representative Director: Naoki Otsu; hereinafter “RE-RE”) has achieved Japan’s first*1 installation and grid connection of Huawei Japan’s distributed grid-scale battery energy storage system “LUNA2000-215-2S11″*2 at a newly established grid-scale battery storage facility in Sakurai City, Nara Prefecture.

Project Overview
RE-RE Co., Ltd. has newly established the Sakurai Battery Storage Facility (tentative name) as its first unit in Sakurai City, Nara Prefecture, and achieved grid connection in December 2025. The facility is equipped with a battery output of 1,999 kW and a battery capacity of 8.17 MWh.
In addition to the installation of this battery storage system, RE100 Electric Power conducts aggregation across the supply-demand adjustment market, the JEPX market, and the capacity market, contributing to the stabilization of supply-demand balance. Furthermore, group company Japan Energy Total System Co., Ltd. is responsible for development, construction, and maintenance management. The newly established battery storage facility will contribute to the stabilization of domestic energy supply and the promotion and expansion of renewable energy.
RE100 Electric Power will continue to contribute to the expansion of renewable energy adoption and the realization of a sustainable society through the operation of this battery storage equipment. Both companies will also focus on leveraging their technical capabilities and expertise to the fullest to create new business models and innovations.
